Garfield Wilson, Owner, BCRPA Certified

Garfield Wilson established Forward Fitness Inc. in 2004 after a successful singing and acting career in Vancouver. Garfield easily adapts between a wide diversity of clients, and his training style focusses on establishing clear goals, while making each training session unique and enjoyable (but not without some hard work). His determination and fitness knowledge have garnered him the winning slot as the WBFF Male Fitness Model in 2009, including a sponsorship agreement with EAS, as well as winning years with the FAME organization as a Pro Male Fitness model for three years running. With this ongoing success he inspires his clients to attain any goal, be it strength, agility, or simply a more balanced life. Garfield specializes in interval training, strength and conditioning, and core stability, and is passionate about fitness and all the benefits of an active and healthy lifestyle.

Julia Jacobsen, CSEP Certified

Julia Jacobsen has been an member of the Forward Fitness team since August 2008. Julia is passionate about fitness and in her commitment to her clients. Julia is currently enrolled at UBC for her 4th year of the Human Kinetics degree program. Julia takes a holistic approach to training, and believes that with the right combination of diet and exercise, everyone is capable of maintaining a healthy lifestyle. "Whatever the mind can conceive and the heart believe, you can achieve."

Shea Sargent, BCRPA Certified

Shea Sargent has been an member of the Forward Fitness team since August 2008. Fitness has been a constant focus in Shea's life, and she completed her fitness leadership diploma at Hilltop Academy in Surry B.C. before going on to complete her BCRPA certification. In addition to her regular fitness routine, for the past 6 years Shea has been training in Muay Thai kickboxing, and also spent time training in Thailand at a Muay Thai camp in 2008. Shea is an active, energetic trainer who believes that a healthy lifestyle is an important component to a long and healthy life, and she wants to help others in their quest to achieve their health and fitness goals.

Jessica Smith, BCRPA Certified

Jessica is the most recent valuable addition to the Forward Fitness team. Jessica specializes in core strength and stability, and empowers her clients to define and reach their personal goals. She is an enthusiastic and highly motivating trainer with a unique and inspiring philosophy that stresses the integration of fitness and nutrition. Jessica has recently completed her BCRPA certification and is poised and ready to take on this new career venture. Her passion for fitness, desire to help people and her relentless energy will be the driving forces behind her success.
