Frequently Asked Questions
Who can benefit from personal training?
Everyone can benefit from personal training. Our trainers have the expertise, experience, and education to design exercise programs for your own unique needs and goals. Plus, they’re as enthusiastic about your success as you are.
Why should I pay for personal training and not just join a gym?
The vast majority of people who join a gym and exercise without the guidance of a personal trainer do not see any results. IDEA, the International Health and Fitness organization, released a statistic that found 75% of people who exercise are not getting the results they want, but out of the 25% of people who are getting results, 90% of them are working with a personal trainer.
How often should I work out with a personal trainer?
Resistance training workouts need to be done two or three times per week for optimal results. When you are first beginning your exericise program, you'll want to be with a trainer most of the time so that you don't do something wrong and end up with an injury. Later, if you want to become more independent and do one workout per week with your personal trainer, and one or two workouts per week on your own, that's fine.
Can I exercise with a friend?
Absolutely! Exercising with your Forward Fitness trainer and a friend is fun and may provide you with a source of additional motivation. Exercise with a friend and pay a reduced rate per session.
Do I need to join a gym?
You don't need to join a gym in order to train with a Forward Fitnes personal trainer. We train our clients at the finest personal training studio in Vancouver, with amenities that include free parking for clients, free bottled water, free towel service, and full locker and shower facilities.
What will I be doing in each workout?
Your workouts will involve a combination of resistance training, cardiovascular exercise, and flexibility training. The amount of time spent on each of these aspects will vary depending on your fitness level, your goals, any current limitations, and your time available for exercise.
How long is each session?
Each training session is 55 minutes in length.
How much does it cost?
Forward Fitness has done away with the complicated packages and pricing structures that are so common in the personal training industry, and instead offers one convenient low rate regardless of whether you train with us once, twice, or three times per week. Our rate for one-on-one training is $65/session, and our rate for partner personal training is $45/session (per person).
